Course Description

This module aims to help coaches improve and understand their pedagogical approach to coaching. It focuses on the player – coach relationship and how this can be improved through effective communication.

Learning Outcomes

• To understand the role of the coach.
• To be able to analyse and communicate in relation to specific situations.
• To understand and analyse the coach-athlete relationship process, identifying issues and suggesting solutions.
• To understand the principles of communication (Clear message, efficient emitters and receptors).
• To be able to effectively communicate with the player specific objectives.

To follow this module and continue on your way to gaining the EJU Level 3 Advanced Coach Award, you need to have completed module 4, History & Development of Judo. Then you will be invited to progress onto this module by email. To enrol on module 1 or 2 download the Application Form, complete it and email it to us.
