Course Description

This module considers modern competitive judo. Coaches will be able to recognize various styles and apply appropriate judo principles and techniques in competition. They will understand their management responsibilities at a tournament.

Learning Outcomes

• To be able to identify & coach effective competition techniques.
• To understand the duties & skills of a coach at a competition (including weight management).
• To be able to transfer of judo principles into an applied competitive situation.
• To recognise different judo styles.

To follow this module and continue on your way to gaining the EJU Level 3 Advanced Coach Award, you need to have completed module 5, Communication. Then you will be invited to progress onto this module by email. To enrol on module 1 or 2 download the Application Form, complete it and email it to us.
